"Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai" are in good spirits, holding a meeting to discuss and submit names for the "Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Ministers" beforehand. Anutin sweetly remarked, "I've been waiting for you for a long time."
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, in his capacity as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with other party leaders, were present to welcome the Pheu Thai Party delegation led by party leader Julaphan Amornvivat, deputy leaders Chusak Sirinil and Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol. The delegation arrived today to submit the names of the second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Pheu Thai Party's quota of ministers to the Bhumjaithai Party, the leading party in forming the government. It is expected that discussions will also take place regarding the voting for the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives, as well as the Prime Minister.
As soon as Mr. Chulaphan stepped out of the car, he greeted the Bhumjaithai Party leaders before noticing Mr. Anutin waiting to welcome him. He quickly walked over to greet him with a smiling face. Mr. Anutin responded, "Nim, I've been waiting for you for a long time," before they embraced, creating a cordial atmosphere. Mr. Anutin reiterated to Mr. Chulaphan, "I've been waiting for you," before the leaders from both sides proceeded into the party headquarters.
However, today marks the first meeting since Mr. Chulaphan fell ill and had to be hospitalized during the joint government press conference, preventing him from coming to the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters.
Meanwhile, today the Bhumjaithai Party held a meeting of its MPs to prepare for the opening ceremony of Parliament on March 14th and the first ordinary session of the 27th House of Representatives on March 15th, to elect the Speaker and the First and Second Deputy Speakers.
