Bangkok: The Prime Minister convened a critical meeting with Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Witai Ratanagorn to deliberate on the nation's economic trajectory and determine the financial sources for the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" initiative.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul began his day at Government House, arriving at 8:20 AM. He observed customary respects at the Narasimha statue replica before heading to the Royal Thai Police Headquarters for a Police Civil Service Commission meeting. Returning to Government House, he engaged in discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Bank of Thailand Governor Witai Ratanagorn, focusing on financial liquidity, the economic outlook, and the implementation of a 500 billion baht emergency decree.

Reports suggest that the primary agenda of the day's meetings was to finalize the funding mechanisms for the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" program. This government initiative is designed to alleviate public expenses and provide additional support for the state welfare card system. The funding strategy involves reallocating funds from governmental agencies that have not met their disbursement targets, utilizing the Budget Transfer Act. The government is also considering other potential funding avenues. Furthermore, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a press conference at 3:00 PM to discuss the outcomes of recent efforts to combat transnational organized crime, including identity theft, naturalization fraud, and illegal gambling activities.
