Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has directed the Cabinet to maintain full efficiency in governance until the official swearing-in ceremony. He stressed the importance of expediting assistance and providing guidance to the families of deceased soldiers to ensure they receive compensation promptly.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired a Cabinet meeting, emphasizing that even in the final week before the election, ministers must carry out their duties with readiness and efficiency. He urged all Cabinet members to fully monitor their responsibilities in their respective roles.
February 3rd is observed as Veterans Day, and the Minister of Defence has been assigned to represent the government in laying wreaths at the Victory Monument. The Veterans Welfare Organization organizes special activities, including the interment of ashes of 42 soldiers who died while on duty at the Thai-Cambodian border. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Defence for organizing these dignified events.
The Prime Minister also instructed the Minister of Defence to assist families of soldiers who have not yet received compensation. He emphasized the need for the Ministry of Defence to mediate and resolve any issues preventing timely compensation. Additionally, he instructed the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior to ensure provincial governors and district officers expedite the compensation process for these families.
