Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister will pay an official visit to Cambodia tomorrow to engage in discussions with Cambodian leaders on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangtrakul, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra is scheduled to visit the Kingdom of Cambodia from April 23 to April 24, 2025. The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes departing from Military Airport 2, Wing 6 at approximately 8:30 a.m., arriving at Phnom Penh International Airport at 9:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister will proceed to the Prime Minister’s Office of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the official welcoming ceremony. The schedule includes a comprehensive discussion with Samdech Maha Vajiralongkorn Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, followed by the signing of significant documents and the co-chairing of the opening ceremony for the 75th-anniversary logo of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations. A joint press conference and a luncheon hosted by the Cambodian Prime Minister will follow these events.
For the afternoon agenda on April 23, 2025, the Prime Minister will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Independence Palace and the Royal Monument of King Norodom Sihanouk. At 3:00 p.m., a courtesy call is scheduled with Samdech Maha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Privy Council of Cambodia. Another courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
On April 24, 2025, the Prime Minister’s visit includes paying respects to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia. The Prime Minister and her entourage will then return to Thailand, arriving at Military Airport 2, Wing 6 at approximately 4:20 p.m.
