Princess Sirivannavari Unveils Haute Couture Jewelry Collection at Bangkok Gems Fair

Bangkok: A haute couture jewelry collection designed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya was a standout attraction at the 'TREASURE OF DREAMS' exhibition, part of the 73rd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair.

According to Thai News Agency, the collection skillfully merges traditional Thai craftsmanship with modern luxury and was crafted by esteemed Thai artisans, highlighting the Princess's dedication to continuing the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, in preserving and advancing Thai craftsmanship.

The 'TREASURE OF DREAMS' SIRIVANNAVARI X BEAUTY GEMS exhibition was set in an opulent and modern environment, reminiscent of Impressionist art, aiming to evoke the beauty of nature through its storytelling. The Masterpiece Collection was a notable feature, presenting jewelry pieces inspired by the brand's iconic symbols like the "peacock" and the "S," all crafted using precious gemstones, including sapphires, rubies, and diamonds. The exhibition also focused on the Craftsmanship Excellence section, showcasing intricate gem-setting techniques that require the expertise of master craftsmen with years of experience.

Each piece in the collection tells a story, from initial sketches to the careful selection of unique gemstones. The fair itself, organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand, was inaugurated by Princess Sirivannavari, who officially opened the event at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The 73rd edition of the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair is the largest ever, covering all 8 halls and featuring over 2,800 booths from more than 1,300 exhibitors worldwide. A new International Pavilion highlights products from over 200 booths, representing countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, China, India, and Sri Lanka. Another special zone, New Faces, showcases products from SME entrepreneurs and emerging designers from various regions of Thailand.

Further enhancing the fair's offerings, the GIT (Gemological Institute of Thailand) provides gem and jewelry testing and certification services. Attendees can also participate in skills enhancement and business networking activities, including fashion shows, workshops on hand engraving and silver clay jewelry making, and seminars on global jewelry market trends.

The 'TREASURE OF DREAMS' exhibition and the 73rd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair collectively emphasize the beauty and value of Thai craftsmanship, truly bringing a dream to life.
