Private Sector Aids Emergency Operations Center in Flood Relief Efforts

Bangkok: The Center for the Emergency Situation Administration (CEA) has received crucial support from the private sector in its ongoing efforts to distribute relief supplies to flood victims in the southern regions. The assistance includes the provision of relief bags and essential goods, and a meeting was held to track the progress of these aid efforts.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paradorn Prisananantakul, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and Director of the Center for Emergency Situation Resolution (ECSCR), was joined by Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Sakda Wichiensilp, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Government Spokesperson and Center Spokesperson, in receiving 5,000 relief bags. These were provided by Ms. Apamas Siriprasobsothorn, Director of Government Relations for GrabTaxi (Thailand) Co., Ltd., to aid flood victims across nine southern provinces.

Additional contributions from the private sector included 2,000 Sabina products donated by Ms. Sawitree Tirachanwut, Corporate Marketing Officer of Sabina Public Company Limited, and 2,000 Mc Jeans products from Ms. Kunlawadee Olarnphansakul, Chief Operating Officer of Mac Group Public Company Limited. These donations aim to support those affected by the floods.

The CEA is committed to distributing the relief bags and supplies swiftly to the flood-affected areas to help mitigate the impact on the communities and aid in their recovery process.

Furthermore, Mr. Pharadorn presided over the 2nd/2025 meeting of the Flood Emergency Operations Center (FOCOC) at 9:00 a.m. The meeting focused on assessing the flood situation and coordinating assistance efforts with relevant agencies to provide effective aid to the southern regions.
