Bangkok: Protesters gathered to urge the Election Commission to file charges against 299 senators accused of election fraud. The demonstration, led by iLaw and joined by the People's Party, sought to hold the senators accountable.

According to Thai News Agency, iLaw organized a march to demand action from the Election Commission against the 229 senators implicated in election fraud. Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, emphasized the importance of unity among citizens, asserting that the demonstration was a show of power by citizens exercising their constitutional rights.

Yingcheep Atchanont, director of iLaw, highlighted the urgency of the protest, noting that the Election Commission is set to vote on the prosecution of those involved in the alleged fraud, including members of the Bhumjaithai Party's executive committee and Members of Parliament. Atchanont criticized the perceived lack of independence of the Election Commission, pointing out that four of its seven members were appointed by the current Senate, creating a conflict of interest.

The protest march was planned to start from the iLaw office and proceed through key locations, including the Bangkok Art Gallery and Victory Monument. Protesters intended to hang banners and chant their demands at various points along the route.
