Bangkok, PTT Group, together with the public, lit candles to offer blessings at Santi Chaiprakarn Park to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of the royal ceremony. On July 28, 2024, Mr. Chatchai Promlert, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, President and Chief Executive Officer of PTT, along with executives and employees of PTT Group and members of the public who participated in the activity 'Lamnam Nathi Warisomphot' lit candles to offer blessings and honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2024 to show their loyalty and gratitude at Santichaiprakarn Park (Phra Sumen Fort), Phra Athit Road, Bangkok. Dr. Kongkrapan revealed that on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday, PTT Group, together with the Family Transport Company, Phra Nakhon District Office, organized the "Lamnam Nathi Waree Somphot" activity from July 26-28, 2024, in gratitude for Hi s Majesty's royal intention to improve the quality of life of the Thai people, as well as an opportunity to publicize His Majesty's royal initiatives and projects in accordance with the royal policy on water resource development nationwide, as well as to promote tourism and stimulate the economy of local communities. For the Lam Nam Nathi Warisomboch activity, the public was able to experience and learn about the restoration of waterways and canals in the Rattanakosin Island area to make them bright again, along with the development of the quality of life of communities along both sides of the canal to have a better environment and quality of life. This event was very well-received by the public, with more than 7,500 people participating over the 3 days. There were many interesting activities in the event, such as: A special boat trip on the Bang Lamphu Canal route from Phra Sumen Fort to Mahakan Fort to visit the waterway development project in accordance with the royal policy of His Majesty the King, allo wing the public to fully enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of the community lifestyle along both sides of the Bang Lamphu Canal. This activity received overwhelming interest, with more than 1,700 participants, creating a great impression on all participants, who were all deeply moved by His Majesty's kindness towards the Thai people. The screening of two short films in honor of His Majesty the King, which PTT has intended to produce to honor His Majesty King Rama X, consists of 2 films: 'Café' and 'Drawings from the Future', which weave stories through the way of life of Thai people who have been connected to water since the past until the present, which nourishes life and fills happiness. Many important waterways were created from the great benevolence of Thai kings in every era and have been "continued, preserved, and developed" to this day. A special light and sound show, 'Blessings from the Water', using the Immersive 3D Mapping technique at Phra Sumen Fort, tells the story of a journey along the water t o the past through the characters of the new generation who meet the 'Water Goddess' who invites them to ask for 'Blessings from the Water'. Experience the way of life of Thai people who have been connected to water throughout the ages. When cities expand, populations increase, and the environment changes over time, water sources and canals may be neglected until King Rama IX and King Rama X have a royal policy and continue the development of water, and then we can see the happiness of the people return once again. Organizing an exhibition to honor His Majesty the King to allow the public to be mindful of His Majesty's grace regarding "water", presenting 10 important royal projects regarding water throughout the country. Canvas Art Workshop and Thai Culture Promotion Activity, presenting the story from the short film 'Drawings from the Future' on a large canvas for the public to join in adding color to the canvas and further develop it into canvas bags to be given away for public benefit. Performances by t he Bang Lamphu community and music in the park by the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, along with many new-generation bands, including booths for people to enjoy delicious restaurants in the Bang Lamphu area, Michelin-starred street food, and community shops. In addition, the Lam Nam Tee Warisomboch event is one of the PTT Group's activities to honor His Majesty the King in this auspicious year. In addition, there are projects and activities organized to express gratitude for His Majesty's kindness, such as the Kamphaeng Phet 6 area development project along Khlong Prem Prachakon, creating a 10-rai public park for the public to exercise and relax, the sustainable community quality of life development project by developing coffee planting and production in a natural resource conservation system, the Royal Project Le Tor, Mae Ramat District, Tak Province, the 72,000-rai forest planting activity to honor His Majesty the King, and the production of a short film to honor His Majesty the King on the occasio n of the auspicious royal ceremony.
