Bangkok: Those who did not meet the welfare card eligibility criteria due to vehicle information should submit a request for reconsideration of their eligibility by August 31st. According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, reminded citizens who did not qualify for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project due to incorrect vehicle ownership information to promptly submit a request for reconsideration of their eligibility by August 31, 2026, in order to protect their rights if they believe the information is inaccurate or requires further verification.

Ms. Rachada stated that as of August 24, 2026, the Department of Land Transport reported that 370,207 applications had been submitted, covering 663,040 vehicles. A portion of these applications did not meet the criteria due to vehicles exceeding the permitted age limit.

Those who wish to correct their information can contact the One Stop Service (OSS) centers at the district or provincial level nationwide until August 31, 2026, and submit additional documents until September 20, 2026. The Ministry of Finance will announce the results of the eligibility review on September 30, 2026, and those who meet the criteria can begin using their benefits from October 1, 2026.

"We urge citizens who have been notified that they did not meet the welfare card criteria due to vehicle-related issues to promptly check and submit a request for reconsideration of their eligibility within the specified deadline if they believe the information is incorrect or have additional facts, in order to avoid losing the opportunity to receive the benefits they are entitled to," Ms. Rachada said.
