Phayao: Deputy Election Commissioner Krachit reported that the re-vote in Phayao's District 1 proceeded without any issues. He emphasized that the successful completion of the recount and re-vote in the remaining four districts is crucial for the Election Commission to certify the election results.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Krachit Charoeninth, Deputy Secretary-General of the Election Commission, shared his observations during an interview with the press. He was present at Polling Station 6 in Village 4, Tha Wang Thong Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province, to monitor the voting process for the newly elected Member of Parliament in Constituency 1.
Mr. Krachit expressed his support for the polling station officials and others involved in the electoral process, acknowledging their efforts in ensuring a smooth operation. He anticipated that at least 50 percent of eligible voters, approximately 200-300 individuals, would participate in the re-vote. He noted that the vote counting process is expected to be swift, and with only four districts left for result certification, an official announcement should follow soon, provided there are no complications.
