Bangkok: Port FC has officially announced the departure of Iraqi national team defender Rebin Sulaka by mutual consent. The club also expressed gratitude for his contributions during the past season, which were instrumental in the club's achievements.
According to Thai News Agency, the 34-year-old defender needed to return to Sweden due to personal reasons, particularly family concerns. After discussing the situation with the club's board of directors, both parties agreed to an amicable separation, resulting in the termination of his contract.
Rebin Sulaka joined Port FC in the 2025/26 season and quickly became a pivotal player, aiding the team in qualifying for the AFC Champions League Elite for the first time in the club's history as Thai League runners-up. Additionally, his efforts contributed to winning the Muang Thai Cup. Over the course of the season, Sulaka made 28 appearances across all competitions.
