Bangkok: Crowds soared at the Royal Thai Air Force's National Children's Day event in 2026, as the number of visitors reached a record high with a substantial influx of parents and children. The event, held at the aircraft parking area of Squadron 601, Wing 6, was presided over by Air Chief Marshal Seksan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, and Mrs. Apisada Kantha, President of the Royal Thai Air Force Spouses Association.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Thai Air Force National Children's Day event in 2026 received an overwhelming response, with over 183,964 parents and children attending at Squadron 601, Wing 6, marking an increase of more than 2.4 times compared to 2025. Additionally, over 60,340 visitors attended the National Air Force and Aviation Museum, while 11,052 people were present at the Air Force's small airfield in Thung Si Kan. Overall, the total number of visitors to the event at Don Mueang surpassed 255,356 people.

The Royal Thai Air Force received support from over 90 government and private sector organizations, and mobilized over 2,000 personnel from its 28 units to participate in the activities. The Air Force expressed gratitude to all organizations involved, highlighting the crucial role they played in making the event a success.

Furthermore, the Royal Thai Air Force extended thanks to the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, commercial airlines, and related agencies for facilitating the airspace at Don Mueang Airport for the F-16, Gripen, and AT-6 air show. The air show aimed to inspire children and youth interested in aviation technology to become responsible adults in the future.
