Nonthaburi: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his delight at the record-breaking sales of OTOP City 2025, which exceeded 868 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the OTOP CITY 2025 event, known as the country's largest OTOP product fair, concluded with a grand and impressive finale. The event saw sales exceeding 868 million baht, marking a more than 20% increase from the previous year. This achievement underscores the strength of Thai communities and the success of the grassroots economy. The event, organized by the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Community Development, ran from December 20-28, 2025.
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Ms. Thanon Nirami, Chairperson of the Cabinet Spouses Association and Honorary Advisor of the Ministry of Interior Wives Association, visited the event at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province. They provided encouragement to OTOP entrepreneurs. The event also saw the presence of Ms. Sasithorn Kittithornkul, Deputy Minister of Interior; Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister; Mrs. Jinnaratcha Sampantharat, President of the Ministry of Interior Wives Association; Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Director-General of the Department of Community Development; and Mrs. Orachira Sirimongkol, President of the Community Development Wives Club, along with other executives from the Department of Community Development.
The lively atmosphere at the event, filled with both Thai and foreign shoppers, contributed to sales surpassing the target of 868 million baht and attracting a cumulative total of 228,002 visitors. This success highlights the tangible impact on driving the grassroots economy. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the public for supporting OTOP products, emphasizing that each purchase contributes to generating income, creating jobs, and providing encouragement to entrepreneurs in communities nationwide.
