Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force has affirmed that its aircraft procurement plan is progressing according to the long-term framework, with the schedule remaining intact for the gradual entry of new aircraft into service.
According to Thai News Agency, Wing Commander Natthanai Chanpleng, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence, disclosed that the plan's first phase is set to run from 2025 to 2029. During this period, aircraft will begin to enter service as initially planned, with the first arrivals expected in 2029.
Meanwhile, the second phase, planned for 2028, is currently in the process of a detailed review. This review includes an examination of the project plan and production processes with the manufacturer. Once these assessments are complete, the next phase will be clearly announced and implemented. The Royal Thai Air Force has confirmed that the overall project is proceeding according to the established timeline.
