Royal Thai Air Force Halts Agreements Amid Tensions with Cambodia

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force has announced the termination of all agreements with Cambodia until hostilities cease between the two nations. The Air Force emphasized its commitment to prioritizing national interests in its operations.

According to Thai News Agency, the announcement was made via the Royal Thai Air Force’s official Facebook page. The post declared the immediate suspension of all agreements between Thailand and Cambodia, citing the need for an end to hostile actions from Cambodia as a condition for resuming cooperation. The Air Force assured that it remains dedicated to performing its duties with integrity and a focus on the country’s interests.

This development comes in the wake of a concerning incident earlier in the day, where a soldier was injured by a landmine in Tam Maria, Sisaket Province, leading to the loss of his ankle. The incident has prompted the government and the Ministry of Defense to take a firm stance, opting to delay the implementation of the Thai-Cambodian peace declaration.
