Saiparn Apinya Returns to Acting After 8-Year Hiatus, Emphasizes Selectivity in Role Choices

Bangkok: Saiparn Apinya has made her comeback to acting after an 8-year hiatus, revealing that she is now more selective about the roles she takes on due to considerations about her age and appearance. After stepping away from the spotlight, Saiparn has returned with the film “King Kaew,” marking her first appearance on the silver screen in nearly a decade.

According to Thai News Agency, Saiparn turned to the diving school business during her time away from acting, co-founding “Blue Prodigy” with her husband. She explained that the timing, the story content, and the team behind “King Kaew” were pivotal in her decision to return to acting. Despite her absence, she has remained passionate about acting, even as she faced challenges in finding suitable roles that align with her current stage in life.

During her break, Saiparn encountered obstacles related to her youthful appearance, which sometimes conflicted with the roles available for her age group. She expressed that misconceptions about her dedication to the diving business led some to believe she had left the entertainment industry permanently. However, she clarified her commitment to acting, noting that she is careful in choosing roles that offer variety and avoid repetition.

Saiparn acknowledges that while she has had to pass on multiple projects over the years, she does not regret the opportunities missed. Instead, she focuses on maintaining the quality of her work and her personal satisfaction. Despite occasional regrets about the financial aspects of turning down roles, she remains enthusiastic about acting and aims to bring energy and dedication to each project she undertakes. Her return to the industry is seen as a rejuvenation, with Saiparn ready to embrace future roles with vigor.
