Pattani: The Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Armed Forces has called on military personnel to follow His Majesty the King's royal guidance in addressing issues in Thailand's southern border provinces.
According to Thai News Agency, General Ukrit Boontanon, Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, visited the southern border region to inspect ongoing operations in Pattani and Narathiwat. During his visit, he urged all sectors to cooperate and adhere to the royal guidance provided by His Majesty the King in resolving the region's challenges.
General Boontanon's visit included a stop at the Forward Command of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4, where he was greeted by Lieutenant General Norathip Poynok. He received briefings on the current intelligence situation, trends, and the progress of eight key missions aimed at resolving issues in the southern border provinces. His itinerary also included a visit to the Suriyothai Control Command at Kalayanivattana Camp in Narathiwat, where he assessed the effectiveness of security operations and provided further guidance.
The Supreme Commander praised the dedication and sacrifice of all personnel involved, emphasizing the importance of their roles in national security, particularly in light of recent flood relief efforts. He reiterated the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters' commitment to supporting unit missions in the southern border provinces to achieve lasting peace in the region.
