Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has announced an intensified effort to locate the bodies of two Thai soldiers who went missing following an ambush on Hill 350. This development comes after a clash with Cambodian troops near Ta Kwai Temple.
According to Thai News Agency, Major General Winthai Suvari, a spokesman for the Royal Thai Army, provided details about the confrontation. The attack on Hill 350 was part of an effort to exert pressure and control the area. However, the Thai forces encountered strong resistance from Cambodian soldiers, which led to a challenging withdrawal.
During the retreat, it was discovered that two personnel were missing. Factors such as limited visibility, difficult terrain, the presence of landmines, and resistance fire made it impossible to conduct an immediate search. As a result, the army has planned a recovery operation for today. This operation will involve both ground and air searches to locate and recover the missing soldiers.
