Chonburi: The Royal Thai Navy's New Recruit Training Center recently organized a significant field trip for 2,000 new recruits to the Chumphon Naval Academy. This initiative aims to kindle interest in the journey toward becoming "Naval Petty Officer Cadets" while simultaneously assessing the recruits' physical and mental fitness.

According to Thai News Agency, Captain Suphanat Thanasilangkoon, Deputy Commander of the Recruit Training Center, Naval Education Department (Training Division), led the recruits in an educational running activity. This journey, intended to motivate the recruits, began at the Recruit Training Center and concluded at Chumphon Naval School in Bang Sare Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province.

During the event, Captain Viroj Pim-on, Chief of Staff of the Chumphon Naval Academy, and his staff warmly welcomed the recruits. The activity was designed not only to test the fitness levels of the new recruits but also to expose them to potential career paths as naval petty officers.

The Royal Thai Navy Petty Officer School facilitated interactions between the new recruits and naval petty officer students who are former conscripts. These interactions aimed to provide insights and encouragement, highlighting the opportunities available through the naval petty officer program.

The Naval Academy, a key unit under the Naval Education Department, focuses on training naval petty officer cadets. Graduates are commissioned as Petty Officer Third Class (P.T.T.) and enjoy various rights, benefits, and career advancement opportunities within the Royal Thai Navy.

The large-scale formation run, involving over 2,000 recruits, adhered to strict safety protocols in line with the Royal Thai Navy's policy, ensuring a secure and effective training environment.
