Bangkok: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy has initiated comprehensive security upgrades in Narathiwat, ordering intensified measures to ensure public safety and confidence in the region. All units have been directed to enhance their vigilance and escalate security protocols, including continuous patrols and round-the-clock surveillance. According to Thai News Agency, Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiyapan, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Navy, stated that the Navy is actively monitoring the security situation in Narathiwat Province. Coordination with the Royal Thai Army, the 4th Army Area Command, the Narathiwat Task Force, the Maritime Security Command, and other security agencies is underway to safeguard the public and build confidence in the area. The Royal Thai Navy has been holding regular meetings with relevant units to evaluate and strategize security measures tailored for operations in Narathiwat. The upgraded security measures involve increasing patrols and surveillance activities both a t sea and in critical areas, fortifying security at ports and unit locations, and preparing naval forces and medical teams for immediate response. The Navy is also focusing on intensified area control by establishing checkpoints, conducting contingency drills, and collaborating closely with all units in the field. The objective is to ensure the safety of the public, personnel, and government officials, while enhancing vigilance in community areas and important locations. These efforts aim to support the pursuit of perpetrators and prevent unrest, ensuring cohesive and effective operations. The Navy spokesperson emphasized that the Commander-in-Chief, also serving as the commander of the Navy Operations Center, has directed all units to carry out their responsibilities with caution and diligence, maintaining personnel morale and prioritizing public safety above all. "The Royal Thai Navy affirms that all units are performing their duties at maximum capacity, maintaining 24-hour monitoring, and are ready to su pport operations across all sectors to ensure the public's confidence in their safety. The security of the people remains our paramount mission," the spokesperson concluded.
