Bangkok: The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has announced the appointment of Jackson Wang, a world-renowned artist, businessman, and former fencer, as the organization's first Global Ambassador.

According to Thai News Agency, before entering the entertainment industry, Jackson was a member of the Hong Kong national fencing team. He won a gold medal in the men's saber event at the Asian Junior Fencing Championships, marking Hong Kong's first gold medal in the event. He was also ranked number one in Asia in the men's under-17 saber category.

Jackson will serve as the first Global Ambassador in the history of the International Fencing Federation (FIE). He will lead the effort to promote fencing globally prior to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, representing the sport on the international stage. He will help publicize key FIE events and participate in various Olympic-related activities along the path to the LA Olympics.
