Satun: Teachers at Ban Da Lam School in La-ngu District are making swift efforts to clean up after recent flooding as water levels recede. It is anticipated that it will take two to three days before normal classes can be held again.

According to Thai News Agency, Ban Da Lam School, located in the Khao Khao Subdistrict of La-ngu District, Satun Province, was significantly affected by flooding due to its low-lying location. As the water receded, the acting director of the school, alongside teachers and school board members, began a cleanup operation. The team worked diligently to remove the mud brought in by the floodwaters, cleaning classrooms, and wiping desks and chairs.

Several items at the school, including cabinets, gas stoves, the nurse’s office, and books, suffered severe damage. The school anticipates that it will take two to three days to complete the cleaning process before students can return to classes. In the interim, teachers are conducting lessons online, as the school is still without power and is awaiting a system check to ensure safety before regular activities can resume.
