Bangkok: The Senate Military Affairs Committee has called for an emergency meeting to invite “Big Kung” to provide critical information following his revelation that a senior official ordered a ceasefire, which could significantly impact national security.
According to Thai News Agency, the Senate Committee on Military and State Security, led by Senator General Sawat Tasana, has scheduled this urgent meeting for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. in Meeting Room 327 on the 3rd floor of the Parliament Building. This development comes after Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, an advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and former Second Army Region commander, disclosed at the “Continuing Good Deeds” event at the Pathom Asoke Buddhist Center in Mueang District, Nakhon Pathom Province, that during the conflict with Cambodia from July 24-28, 2025, a ceasefire was ordered by superiors just six hours into the first day of fighting.
The committee views the ongoing situation along the Thai-Cambodian border as sensitive, with potential threats to national security, sovereignty, and integrity. As a result, it is imperative to swiftly gather information to understand the full implications of the ceasefire order. To achieve this, the committee has also extended an invitation to Lt. Gen. Boonsin to attend the meeting, where he is expected to provide factual details and engage in discussions about the border situation. This exchange of views is anticipated to enhance the committee’s understanding and support its missions, duties, and authority. A formal letter has been dispatched to Lt. Gen. Boonsin, inviting him to participate in the meeting.
