Bangkok: Prime Minister Sihasak has called on citizens to exercise their right to vote, emphasizing the importance of selecting the best party and representatives. He expressed confidence in the smooth progression of the election process and assured the public that the Thai-Cambodian border remains peaceful and secure.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew, the Bhumjaithai Party's prime ministerial candidate, arrived with his family at polling station 13 in Senanikom Subdistrict, Chatuchak District, Bangkok's Constituency 9, at 9:05 AM to cast their votes. The family patiently waited for over 15 minutes for document verification before casting their votes in the referendum.
Following the voting process, Mr. Sihasak expressed his satisfaction with the high voter turnout. He emphasized the significance of participation in this crucial election, urging Thai citizens to choose wisely when selecting their party and representatives.
Addressing concerns about potential confusion during the election and referendum, Mr. Sihasak assured that the processes were clear to the voters. He noted that people are aware of the importance of electing representatives, representing parties, and amending the constitution. Confident in the procedure, he stated that the election is expected to proceed without issues, with results anticipated later in the evening.
Regarding the election result monitoring, Mr. Sihasak mentioned that they would be waiting at the party headquarters for updates, as all members were present there.
