Bangkok: Singer Ja Nongpanee opens up about her decision-making process regarding the logistics of her recent charitable contributions aimed at aiding flood victims in southern Thailand. In response to queries from the public, she clarified why she did not procure water from a nearby southern province to minimize shipping expenses.
According to Thai News Agency, Ja Nongpanee has been actively involved in philanthropic efforts, specifically by sending drinking water to those affected by the severe flooding in the South. She initially announced her intention to provide 20,000 bottles of water to assist the flood victims. However, when a netizen questioned her choice to source the water from Bangkok rather than a closer location, she felt compelled to explain her actions.
In a recent online post dated November 26, 2015, Ja Nongpanee shared a screenshot of a conversation with a close friend who had previously organized water deliveries for flood relief. In her post, she mentioned, “Before posting, I tried searching nearby, but there wasn’t any… It’s not just today that I just posted. I’ve been quietly donating rice and water for the past 2-3 days. Thank you for the suggestion. I tried to find a nearby water factory, but there wasn’t any. The claim that there was wasn’t clear, so I decided to send it in Bangkok instead.”
This clarification underscores her commitment to ensuring timely and effective support for those impacted by the flooding, while addressing public concerns about her logistical choices.
