SME D Bank Unveils 20 Billion Baht Low-Interest Loan Package for Thai SMEs

Bangkok: SME D Bank is offering a significant New Year gift to Thai small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a special low-interest loan package. The package includes a loan with an interest rate of only 3% per year for the first three years, with a total budget of 20 billion baht. Applications submitted before March 31, 2026, will benefit from a 0.50% reduction in project analysis fees.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pichit Mitrawong, Managing Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank), announced the "New Year Gift Measures" package for 2026, aimed at bolstering SME entrepreneurs with comprehensive support for sustainable growth. The package features low-interest loans to reduce financial burdens and improve liquidity, enabling investment and business adaptation. The loans are available to both individuals and legal entities across all SME sectors, including manufacturing, services, and wholesale and retail businesses.

The package offers two loan products: the "Empowering SMEs" loan program, with a budget of 5 billion baht for small entrepreneurs, offering up to 1 million baht per borrower without collateral; and the "Beyond Empowering SMEs" loan program, with a 15 billion baht budget to enhance business capabilities, offering up to 30 million baht with optional co-guarantee from the Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCGC). Applications for both programs are open until December 30, 2026, with a special offer of a 0.50% reduction in the project analysis fee for applications submitted by March 31, 2026.

Additionally, SME D Bank is launching the 'Live, Succeed, and Succeed Instantly!' campaign to provide SME entrepreneurs with access to business development programs. Entrepreneurs can register on the DX by SME D Bank platform from January to March 2026 to receive 500 points, redeemable for benefits that enhance knowledge and business potential through platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. The campaign includes training activities focused on online marketing strategies like content creation and live commerce.
