Buriram: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, undertook a significant visit to three provinces in southern Isaan to assess the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. This visit marks an important step in monitoring and managing the border dynamics between the two nations.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister departed from Military Airport 2, Wing 6, Don Mueang, at 8:00 AM. Clad in a military uniform, Anutin Charnvirakul was joined by Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, and Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister. The delegation traveled to the border provinces of Buriram, Surin, and Amnat Charoen.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the "Closing the Gold Leaf Ceremony, Paying Homage to King Rama I" project at the monument of King Phutthayodfa Chulalok (Rama I) in Mueang District, Buriram Province. This ceremonial event underscores the cultural and historical ties important to the region.
At noon, the Prime Minister will proceed to Surin Province to further monitor and evaluate the conditions along the Thai-Cambodian border. This part of the itinerary highlights the ongoing attention and response to the border situation.
Later in the day, at 4:00 PM, the Prime Minister is set to preside over the royal cremation ceremony of Private Thanapat Nanthawong at Wat Chuek Nok, Mueang District, Amnat Charoen Province. Following this solemn event, the Prime Minister will return to Bangkok, concluding his visit to the southern Isaan provinces.
