According to Thai News Agency, at 5:00 PM on November 27, 2015, at the Disaster Relief Center of the 4th Army Area Forward Command (42nd Military Circle), Senanarong Camp, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Colonel Thanut Phisansithiwat, Deputy Commander of the 42nd Military Circle, expedited assistance and facilitation for the public by using helicopters to deliver food and drinking water to areas in Districts 3 and 4, Hat Yai District, which have been continuously affected by flooding.
The flooding situation in the area remains a concern, particularly in Districts 3 and 4, where floodwaters remain high and currents in some areas pose significant obstacles to access and assistance. However, the overall situation today has begun to improve. Helicopters have been dispatched to carry out airlifts of essential food and drinking water to ensure timely relief for stranded residents. Surveys and assessments of surrounding transportation routes are also underway to plan effective rescue and recovery efforts.
The operation team confirmed that they will continue to provide assistance to flood victims in the area throughout the day to ensure that assistance reaches all affected areas as thoroughly and as quickly as possible.
