According to Thai News Agency, at approximately 10:50 AM, the Phuket Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office (Phuket DPMO) received a report of a fire on a speedboat at the Ao Makham deep-sea port in Phuket. The fire had engulfed the vessel. Following the incident, disaster prevention and mitigation units from Wichit Subdistrict Municipality, along with other local administrative organizations, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, and other relevant agencies, rushed to the scene. Authorities successfully brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other boats. Initially, five people were reported injured. Rescue workers from the Kusoltham Phuket Foundation provided assistance and transported the injured to medical facilities.
The relevant authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and are taking further action closely.
