Bangkok: Doing good for society, S and P delivers over 960,000 meals of bakery products, reducing waste and helping the environment. S and P Syndicate Public Company Limited, represented by Ms. Maneesuda Sila-on, Chief Sustainability Development and Corporate Communications Officer, received the “Good Sustaining Partner Award” from the Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Thailand Foundation at the “SOS Thailand Awards 2025” event.
According to Thai News Agency, this award is a testament to the success of the ongoing collaboration in managing surplus food under the S and P Food Rescue project, which has been in operation since 2020. The company focuses on distributing high-quality, clean, and safe surplus bakery products from 87 sales points in 4 provinces-Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Prachuap Khiri Khan-to underprivileged communities.
The project has had a significant positive impact, with 229,675 kilograms of bakery goods distributed, equivalent to over 965,059 meals. This initiative not only supports equal access to quality food and reduces the cost of living but also significantly reduces the environmental impact.
In addition, the project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from landfill waste by up to 570,924 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent. The company is committed to continuing to expand this collaborative project to reach a wider community across the country, aiming to play a part in solving the food waste problem and helping Thai society grow together.
