Bangkok: Executives from the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) participated in a royal cremation ceremony honoring those who perished in a construction crane collapse in Sisaket Province. The incident involved a crane crushing a train, resulting in multiple fatalities.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anan Phothinimdaeng, the Deputy Governor and Acting Governor of the SRT, led a delegation of SRT executives and employees to the ceremony at Wat Ban Tae in Uthumphorn Phisai District, Sisaket Province. The ceremony was held to memorialize the lives lost in the tragic event.
During the ceremony, Mr. Anan laid funeral robes and sandalwood flowers as a gesture of condolence and remembrance for the deceased. He also interacted with the families of the victims, offering support in accordance with the formal proceedings.
The State Railway of Thailand has committed to ongoing coordination and support for the affected families. This is being facilitated through relevant agencies to ensure a seamless process, adhering to established guidelines.
