Nakhon pathom: A 28-year-old stepfather has been arrested for assaulting his wife and 2-year-old stepson, causing injuries. Police traced his mobile phone signal to his mother's house in Nakhon Pathom province.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chakkrit, also known as Moss, committed the assault on January 6th at their residence in Manjakiri District, Khon Kaen Province. Following the incident, Mr. Moss fled the scene and was assisted by a friend named Mr. Pee, who resides in a nearby village.
On January 14, Police Colonel Theerathatch Pongsuwan, Superintendent of Manjakiri Police Station, announced that the investigative team successfully apprehended Mr. Moss in Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Prior to his capture, Mr. Pee provided crucial information to the police, revealing that after picking up Mr. Moss, he overheard a conversation between Mr. Moss and his mother, who is employed at a factory in Tha Talat Subdistrict, Sam Phran District. Following the call, a van arrived to transport Mr. Moss.
Further information from Mr. Moss's wife corroborated these details, suggesting that he would likely seek refuge at his mother's house in Nakhon Pathom. The investigative team tracked Mr. Moss's mobile phone signal to Tha Talat Subdistrict, coinciding with the location of his mother's workplace. Coordination with Sam Phran police led to Mr. Moss's peaceful arrest. He is currently being transported back to Manjakiri Police Station for legal proceedings.
The police chief emphasized that the charges against Mr. Moss are non-negotiable, regardless of any potential agreement between Mr. Moss and his wife. The case will be resolved in court. On January 15th, Mr. Moss will be taken to reenact the crime before being promptly transferred to Khon Kaen court.
