Bangkok: The Student Loan Fund (SLF) has announced the opening of loan applications for vocational certificate and diploma programs for the 2026 academic year. This initiative aims to enhance employment prospects for vocational students in various fields, including agricultural industry, technology and innovation, as well as Thai arts and culture.
According to Thai News Agency, the SLF is providing financial support to students pursuing vocational education at both the vocational certificate and higher vocational certificate levels. The loans will cover studies in areas such as agricultural and fisheries industrial technology, agro-industry, agricultural technology, innovation, and modern farm and harvesting management. These fields are in high demand within both private and public sectors. Additionally, the fund is promoting Thai arts and culture by supporting studies in fine arts, handicrafts, royal goldsmithing, Thai dance, and Thai music, aiming to preserve cultural heritage while equipping students with vocational skills.
The SLF highlights the benefits of pursuing technical and specialized careers, noting the potential for high wages and rapid career growth. The availability of student loans eases the financial burden on students, allowing them to concentrate on developing the skills required by the job market. Prospective applicants can view the list of eligible programs and submit applications through their educational institutions as per the fund's schedule. New borrowers are required to apply through the Pre-Approve system for initial eligibility screening before proceeding to the loan agreement process via the Digital Student Loan Fund (DSL).
