Suriya’s Health Improves After Fainting Due to Sleep Deprivation

Udon thani: Suriya Jungrungruangkit, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, has reported an improvement in his health following a fainting spell attributed to lack of sleep. Despite the incident, he remains dedicated to his official duties.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suriya collapsed last night, requiring CPR from medical professionals. He attributed the episode to insufficient rest due to his relentless focus on resolving agricultural issues. Despite medical advice to rest, Mr. Suriya emphasized the importance of attending scheduled field visits, particularly in flood-affected areas like Sam Phrao. Residents there are eager to hear directly from the government about the proposed solutions for their issues.

After addressing water management duties, Mr. Suriya is set to visit the Nong Dae wetland in Kut Sa Subdistrict to assess preparations for the Udon Thani International Horticultural Exposition 2026. He highlighted the event's significance in enhancing the national economy and tourism by attracting visitors, both domestic and international.

Mr. Suriya remains steadfast in his commitment to addressing challenges faced by farmers, including water management and economic opportunities, despite the physical demands of his responsibilities.
