Teacher Seeks Urgent Support for Gifted Students in Dire Conditions

Udon Thani:A teacher was deeply moved during a home visit to a student's residence, revealing the child's excellent academic performance amidst challenging living conditions.

According to Thai News Agency, the Udon Phichairak School in Mueang District initiated a project to assess students' home environments, uncovering several cases of hardship. One notable case involves Miss Kritsana Somtrai, known as "Palmmy," a 17-year-old Grade 12 student. Her family resides in a cramped and deteriorating house. Her father is employed as a security guard, while her mother, who previously crafted flower garlands, is in poor health. Despite these challenges, Palmmy excels academically and behaves well. To support her education, donations can be made to the Government Savings Bank account number 020204949026, under the name Krisana Somtrai.

Another case involves twin brothers, Nattawut Inkangkhueng ("Nong Peet") and Nattawin Inkangkhueng ("Nong Pos"), both 16 years old and in Grade 11. They excel in their studies with a GPA of 3.85. Nong Peet has undergone six surgeries due to a throat condition requiring ongoing medical care. The twins, their mother, grandmother, and younger brother live in a rented house provided at a low cost by an elderly neighbor. Their mother supports the family through general labor. Donations for their education can be made to the Government Savings Bank, Lotus Nadi Branch, account number 020291476420, under the name Nattawut Inkokphueng.

The school is committed to assisting these students and ensuring their education continues uninterrupted.
