Bangkok:Thai Airways is close to resuming normal operations, with the primary challenge remaining the handling of outstanding baggage. The airline's overall services have almost completely returned to normal.
According to Thai News Agency, All Thai Airways flights, both inbound and outbound, are operating smoothly, with 122 inbound and 123 outbound flights. The backlog of outbound and connecting baggage has significantly decreased to 150 pieces from a peak of 7,175. The inbound baggage backlog also shows a downward trend, currently at 712 pieces, reduced from a peak of 5,423.
Additionally, 300 pieces of baggage have already been claimed by passengers, with 412 bags still awaiting processing. The airline's manpower management reflects an employee turnover rate of 105.48%, with 1,348 employees currently working out of a planned 1,278. There are no remaining cargo inventory items, though there is still a need for warehouse space to accommodate goods awaiting pickup.
