Thai Athletes Celebrate Success at 2026 Asian Games

Bangkok:The Athletics Association of Thailand, along with the Thai Olympic Committee, held a press conference to celebrate the achievements of Thai athletes at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. The event highlighted the team's historic performance, winning a total of six medals, including three gold, two silver, and one bronze.

According to Thai News Agency, the press conference took place at the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, where key figures such as Police Major General Surapong Ariyamongkol, Mr. Witawat Tantives, and Police Major General Napantavut Liamsanguan joined Police Sergeant Major Puripol Boonsorn, also known as "Bew," to honor the athletes' accomplishments.

The press conference lauded the athletes for their dedication and sacrifice, which brought significant honor to Thailand. Notably, Puripol "Bew" Boonsorn was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award by the Olympic Council of Asia, marking a proud moment for the nation.

The Athletics Association of Thailand, led by Police General Chakthip Chaijinda, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and developing Thai national athletics teams to achieve further success on the international stage.
