Thai-Cambodian Press Center Expands Communication Efforts into ASEAN Languages

Bangkok: The Thai-Cambodian press center has announced a significant expansion of its communication efforts, aiming to reach a wider audience by covering all ASEAN languages and several global languages. The expansion is part of its strategy to present factual information to the global community.

According to Thai News Agency, at a press conference held at the Royal Thai Army Television Station, Rear Admiral Surasan Kongsiri, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence, highlighted the center’s adherence to five operational principles: legitimacy, humanitarian concerns, transparency (as long as it is safe), unified communication, and confidence-building. These principles have guided the center’s communication strategies over the years.

The center, which already communicates in Thai, English, Cambodian, Chinese, Russian, French, Arabic, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean, and the Philippine language Analog, has added Indonesian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Myanmar, and Lao to its repertoire. This expansion aims to ensure comprehensive coverage across ASEAN languages, reinforcing the center’s commitment to providing timely and accurate information to both the global community and ASEAN citizens.
