Bangkok: The Ministry of Culture invites the public to play a role in preserving the nation's artistic heritage by announcing a special Thai music performance set for 2026. According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Culture held a press conference to unveil plans for a Thai music performance by senior teachers of the Rattanakosin era. This event is organized in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and aims to celebrate her contributions to the cultural landscape of Thailand.
Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, Minister of Culture, delegated Mr. Prasop Riangngern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, to lead the press conference. Key attendees included Ms. Yutika Isarangkun Na Ayutthaya, Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion, and several National Artists in Performing Arts. The event was held at the Small Auditorium, Thailand Cultural Centre, and attracted members of cultural networks, media representatives, and distinguished guests.
Mr. Prasop Riangngern emphasized that the performance seeks to highlight the musical talents and genius of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in Thai classical music.
