According to Thai News Agency, the global EDM scene is keenly observing as Honey Gee, the only Thai female DJ, is set to make history by performing at Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, the world's premier EDM festival, from June 8-12, 2026. She intends to elevate Thai culture to an international level through contemporary Thai fashion with the concept "WEAR THE SOUL OF SIAM WITH PRIDE," proudly showcasing the spirit of Siam. The outfits are specially designed by the award-winning Thai designer Kai Augus, supported and patronized by Madame Aoo Nalapon Chainin. This endeavor is more than just a musical performance; it's a declaration of Thai potential on the world stage.
The collaboration among Honey Gee, Madame Aoo, and Kai Augus represents a fusion of music, fashion, and Thai culture under the project 'Thai Identity on the Global Stage.' On January 24th, at TRIBE Sky Beach Club, Emsphere, the three visionaries revealed their behind-the-scenes efforts and aspirations to bring contemporary Thai identity to the global audience.
Honey Gee, a Thai DJ ranked in the Top 79 DJs worldwide, expressed that Tomorrowland is the ultimate dream for every DJ. Performing on this prestigious stage while showcasing Thai culture marks the pinnacle of her career. She shared her challenging journey as a female DJ in a male-dominated industry. Honey moved to Germany in 2020, and her European tour began amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring resilience and unwavering belief. Her signature Thai smile and greetings on stage have become memorable to fans, as she aspires to demonstrate Thai capabilities on an international level.
The excitement around the project intensified with the announcement that Kai Augus would design the outfits. Honey Gee desired a look that matched the powerful music genre, and Kai, known for being an independent and unconventional designer, brings the perfect blend of music, fashion, and Thai culture to life.
Madam Aoo Nalapon Chainin, the project's main supporter, recognized Honey Gee's talent and considers her an individual of high quality. Aoo's vision is to support Honey in showcasing Thai fabrics and Siamese art on the world stage. She personally contacted Kai Augus to design the outfit for Honey, ensuring that the Thai flag is proudly displayed in Belgium. This moment promises to be both memorable and legendary.
