Thai futsal team reports for duty and practices for the ASEAN Championship

New generation of Thai futsal players reported for duty and are ready to compete in the ASEAN Championship. "Big Pom" Adisak Benjasiriwan hopes to give new players a chance to start gaining experience. Kritsana Aransanlak and Peerapat Kaewwilai led the 20-member Thai national futsal team to report to the FA THAILAND futsal field to prepare for the 2024 ASEAN Futsal Championship between November 2-10 at Terminal 21 shopping mall in Nakhon Ratchasima province. 'Big Pom' Adisak Benjasriwan, Vice President of the Football Association of Thailand, along with Suthin Buatum, Manager of the Thai national futsal team, welcomed and gave advice to the new generation of athletes, led by Spanish assistant coach Eloy Alonso, for their first training session because head coach Miguel Rodrigo had an emergency landing on his flight from Malaga, Spain, causing a delay. He will arrive in Thailand today. During the training session, Alonso had his players relax their muscles and played games to help them get used to each other before starting serious training today. As for 'Big Pom' Adisak Benjasiriwan, he spoke about using new blood players, saying that in the past the Thai national team used the national team B team to compete in the ASEAN Championship in 2002 in Pahang and the ASEAN Championship in 2008 in which Thailand used the U-21 team before. This time, the guideline is to call up players with an average age not exceeding 25 years in order to create new generation athletes. Winning the ASEAN Championship is considered a dignity, but the first thing is to give opportunities, starting with the ASEAN Championship. In addition, "Big Pom" also mentioned about Miguel's contract which will expire at the end of this year, that he will have to talk with the president of the Football Association of Thailand and Miguel after Miguel travels to Thailand. While the team manager hopes to lead the team to win this tournament, even with the use of new players, he asks for the encouragement of Thai futsal fans to send encouragement to thi s group of players. For the schedule of the Thai national futsal team, there are: November 2, Thailand vs. Brunei; November 3, Timor-Leste vs. Thailand; November 5, Malaysia vs. Thailand; November 6, Thailand vs. Vietnam.
