Bangkok: "Thai Helps Thai Plus 2" is set to provide a one-time 1,000 baht payment for two months, with a 60/40 co-payment split, pending the Ministry of Finance's finalization of conditions. Today, Mr. Ekkapop Pienpises, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, shared updates on the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" project, Phase 2, noting that final details are still under review by the committee responsible for loan fund screening under the Emergency Decree.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekkapop mentioned discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapha, indicating that "Thai Helps Thai Plus 2" aims to provide a total of 1,000 baht over two months, adhering to the 60:40 co-payment principle. The 1,000 baht sum is meant for two months of entitlement, not as a monthly payment.

For state welfare cardholders, an additional 700 baht is planned to be added to the regular 300 baht, totaling 1,000 baht, as per the government spokesperson's information. Mr. Ekkapop also confirmed that no extra funds are needed for the project renewal, as the calculated amount remains at 1,000 baht, and extending the program for two months could provide more opportunities for benefit claims.

However, these details are under consideration and are not yet binding. They require further review by the loan expenditure screening committee and confirmation from the Ministry of Finance.
