Saraburi: Thai hockey is moving forward to upgrade its coaching standards, launching a "Train the Trainers" program to cultivate personnel to world-class standards. The Hockey Association of Thailand is organizing the 1st National Hockey Coach Training Program, "Train the Trainers Program," from July 6-10, 2026, at the National Hockey Training Center in Saraburi Province. The aim is to develop the capabilities of Thai coaches to meet international standards and to enable them to apply their knowledge to further develop athletes in all regions of the country.
According to Thai News Agency, Chaipak Siriwat from the Hockey Association of Thailand revealed that the project is supported by the Olympic Solidarity Fund and the Olympic Committee of Thailand under Royal Patronage. Thirty coaches from 13 provinces across the country are participating in the training.
The training was honored with the presence of Tai Beng Hai as the keynote speaker, who imparted knowledge on modern coaching techniques, the latest rules and regulations, as well as athlete development in terms of physical fitness, sports psychology, nutrition, and rehabilitation.
The association believes that this project will be a significant step in building a network of quality coaches nationwide, laying the foundation for the sustainable development of Thai hockey, and elevating its capabilities to the international stage in the future.
