Bangkok: The government revealed that the Thai massage festival generated over 75 million baht in revenue, reinforcing the potential of Thai traditional knowledge to enter the international market.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the National Thai Massage and Wellness Fair, held under the theme "Celebrating Thai Wisdom, Fostering a New Economy, and Advancing Towards the International Stage," from August 20-22, 2026, was a great success. Throughout the three-day event, a large number of members of the public, entrepreneurs, investors, and health experts, both Thai and foreign, participated.

This event significantly boosted the wellness economy, with over 100 exhibitors and attracting considerable interest from visitors. The value of business negotiations within the event reflected the opportunities and potential of the Thai wellness industry, generating 75.4 million baht in transactions. This underscores the growth of the Thai health and wellness business and the potential of Thai traditional knowledge to penetrate the international market.

This marks a significant step reflecting Thailand's potential to become a world-class wellness hub, expanding onto the international stage. Thailand has been honored to host the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) 2026 from November 10-13, 2026, in Phuket.
