Bangkok: The rhythmic gymnastics team from Thailand achieved remarkable success at the 2025 SEA Games, securing two additional gold medals in the group exercise event. These victories took place during the gymnastics competition held at Gymnasium 5, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus, where the women’s rhythmic gymnastics event included scores from four individual apparatuses and a five-person group exercise.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai singles team featured gymnasts Piyada Peeramathukorn and Sikri Suttirak, while the group exercise team was composed of Pornnatcha Jetthamrong, Pichayathida Ketsakul, Supichaya Pinfan, Rakkant Chaichonnich, Pandita Thongsong, and Cholthichakorn Jankomol. The Thai team achieved a silver medal with a total score of 222.36 points, finishing behind Malaysia, who claimed the gold, and ahead of the Philippines, who took home the bronze.
In the individual all-around event, gymnast Piyada Peeramathukorn, nicknamed “Popo,” shared the bronze medal with Malaysia’s Jo Eng, both scoring 96.890 points. The gold medal in this category went to the Philippines, and Singapore secured the silver.
In the group exercise finals, Team Thailand earned two more gold medals by excelling in the 5-ribbon event with a score of 21.230 points and the 3-ball, 2-hoop event with 22.900 points. Thailand’s rhythmic gymnastics team’s total medal count for the competition now stands at five gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals.
