Thai Stocks See Modest Morning Gains Amid Global Tensions

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed the morning session up 4.21 points as the SET index ended at 1,411.55 points, marking an increase of 0.30%. The trading volume was approximately 33,048 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, analysts noted that Thai stocks fluctuated between positive and negative territory in the morning session. Initially, the market retraced before buying pressure emerged. The main pressure on the market stemmed from geopolitical tensions, specifically Iran's attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This event has pushed global oil prices close to the $100 mark. Despite the International Energy Agency's readiness to release oil reserves, the market remains wary of potential proxy warfare, complicating market predictions.

Market experts suggest that the afternoon trend is expected to stay within a range, with close monitoring of the situation advised. They identified support at 1,390 points and resistance at 1,420 points, indicating a cautious outlook amid ongoing global uncertainties.
