Thai student team wins first gold medal in the World Student Championships, 4 x 100m relay race for men, clocking 40.60 seconds and setting a new record for the competition.

The 2024 World School Games, ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, during October 23-31, 2024 in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, organized by the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports at ISA SPORT CITY Stadium, in the 4x100m Men's Relay Team category, the final round by the Thai national relay team, No. 1 Chutithat Phruksaranan (Demonstration School "Piboonbamphen", Burapha University), No. 2 Sarawut Nuansri (Maha Vajiravudh School, Songkhla Province), No. 3 Peerapat Ngamna (Phandon Witthaya School, Udon Thani Provincial Administrative Organization 4) and No. 4 Weerayut Daenkhnop (Ubonrat Ratchakan Yaratchavithi School, Phatthalung) ran to the finish line as the first team, making a record of 40.60 seconds, winning the championship and setting a new record. Breaking the previous record set by France in 1976 at 41.15 seconds, the second place team from Bahrain came in at 40.97 seconds, the third place team from Hong Kong came in at 41.62 seconds, and the Thai women's relay team Lomkrod came in 5t h placeIn the men's 400m final, "Bass" Sarawut Nuansri, a Thai national track and field athlete, crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 45.91 seconds, breaking the Thai record set by Sergeant Kunanon Sukkaew in 2015 at the Singapore SEA Games with a time of 46.00 seconds.
