Thai Teams Shine at EsCola AVC Beach Tour Samila Open

Songkhla: Salilada Mungkhon and Patcharaporn Sihawong, members of the Thai national beach volleyball team, defeated their Chinese opponents in the EsCola AVC Beach Tour Samila Open in Songkhla. According to Thai News Agency, the 25th EsCola AVC Beach Tour Samila Open beach volleyball tournament took place at Samila Beach, Songkhla Province. In the women's team group stage, the Thai team, consisting of Salilada Mungkhon and Patcharaporn Sihawong, displayed excellent teamwork, defeating Cao Xuting and Musajiang Aheidan from China 2-0 (21-17 and 21-14). In another match, Smitra Srimarongnam and Somrudee Kerkkaew from Thailand lost to Matsumoto Ren and Matsumoto Non from Japan 0-2 sets (13-21 and 11-21). In the men's team event group stage, the Thai men's volleyball team, consisting of Petty Officer 1st Class Pitak Thipchan and volunteer ranger Wachirawit Muatpha, alternated in hitting points before defeating Li Wei and Du Hongjun from China 2-0 sets (21-10 and 21-17). In the other two matches, Netithorn Muni kul and volunteer ranger Parawit Taowato lost to Zhang Tai and Cao Weizhou from China 1-2 sets (21-15, 19-21, 8-15), while Petty Officer 1st Class Ballue Nakaprakong and Sergeant Major Dulawinich Kaewsai defeated their Qatari pair 2-0 sets (21-12 and 21-16).
