Bangkok: The Volleyball Association of Thailand has announced the call-up of 30 female athletes to the national volleyball team training camp, preparing for major upcoming tournaments including the Volleyball Nations League 2026 (VNL 2026) and the SEA V League. According to Thai News Agency, this initiative marks a significant step in the preparation of the Thai women's national volleyball team. The athletes are scheduled to participate in training and selection sessions starting on April 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The sessions will be held at the Sports Science Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Sports Authority of Thailand. The roster for the training camp includes players from various positions: setters, free players, middle blockers, and outside hitters/opposite hitters. Notable players called up include setters Kanokporn Saengthong and Sarah Ankomah, libero Piyanut Paennoi, and outside hitters Chatchu-on Moksri and Pimpichaya Kokram, among others. Athletes currently playing for clubs abroad have been instructed to join the training camp immediately after fulfilling their international club commitments and returning to Thailand. This comprehensive training program aims to ensure that the team is well-prepared for the challenges of the upcoming international volleyball tournaments.
