Bangkok: Thai-Cambodian Situation Information Center: The Director of the Joint International Consortium (JIC) affirmed that Thailand is strictly adhering to the joint agreement of December 27, 2025, after Cambodia used world-renowned figures to spread unilateral information, risking becoming a tool for amplifying misinformation and creating inaccuracies within the international community.

According to Thai News Agency, Air Chief Marshal Praphas Sonjaidee, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force and Director of the Joint Information Center (JIC), revealed that Thailand respects humanitarian principles and understands the international community's concerns for those affected by the conflict. However, humanitarian principles are incomplete if based on one-sided information or unverified accusations.

The JIC director stated that he reiterated that Thailand is strictly adhering to the Joint Agreement of December 27, 2025, and that Thailand has followed the Joint Statement on ceasing hostilities, avoiding provocation, de-escalating tensions, and refraining from disseminating information that would exacerbate the situation.

However, conversely, Thailand continues to witness attempts to disseminate one-sided information, cite unverified figures, and link humanitarian issues to political accusations and international law.

The JIC director warned Cambodia that using global celebrities to spread one-sided information risks becoming a tool for manipulation. Utilizing world-renowned figures to amplify information from only one side risks providing the international community with an incomplete picture and could unintentionally be used in information operations.

'We confirm that Thailand has never refused humanitarian assistance and has never opposed caring for those affected. However, we urge all parties to adhere to verified facts and present information comprehensively. If we want to build peace, we must stop provocation, stop spreading unverified news, and respect the obligations agreed upon by both sides,' said the JIC director.

The JIC director further stated that peace cannot be achieved if the creation of false narratives and accusations through the media continues, and peace cannot be achieved if one side abides with the agreement while the other continues to create false narratives, make accusations through the media, and undermine the atmosphere of trust.

Thailand is always ready to talk, cooperate, and provide humanitarian assistance, but will not tolerate the use of humanitarian issues as a tool for political pressure or the distortion of facts to the international community.

'Truth, responsibility, and respect for mutual agreement are the only paths to lasting peace,' said the JIC director.
